Tickets and official detailsWRAL Nights of Lights is back at Dix Park, vehicle nights start Thursday Nov 26, 6 to 9:30. 1.3 mile route, they're saying a 30 ft dinosaur and a giant gingerbread house this year. There's also a 5K run and walk night on Nov 19 before cars. Has anyone done the drive version? How bad is the line getting in off Western?

Book the earliest time block. The later slots back up because everyone running late from the earlier ones gets in line too.

We did the 5K night instead and honestly loved it more. You actually get to stop and look at stuff.

Super casual, tons of families walking, a few people in costumes. Nobody's timing you.
Do not do Thanksgiving night itself unless you love traffic. Opening night is the busiest of the season. Second week was a breeze for us.
