Jordan Davis at Red Hat on Friday the 21st, where are you parking?

We have tickets for Jordan Davis at Red Hat Amphitheater this Friday, August 21. Show is listed at 8 pm with doors at 6:30. Address is 500 S McDowell.

Last time we went downtown for a show we circled for twenty minutes and ended up in a deck that took forever to empty out. If you go to Red Hat regularly, where do you park and how early do you leave the house? We are coming in from Five Points so we would be on Glenwood heading south.

We park north of the venue and walk. The walk is short and you are moving before the deck traffic even starts. Check the city deck rates the day of, event pricing is not always the posted daytime rate.

Doors at 6:30 means the line for the gate is real by about 7. If you want a decent spot on the lawn get there when doors open, not at 7:45.

Second the walk from a few blocks out. We usually eat first somewhere in that stretch, leave the car where we ate, and walk over. Makes the whole night easier and you are not sitting in a deck ramp at 10:30.

Good call on eating first. We will aim to be downtown by six and just accept the walk.

Bring a rain plan. August in Raleigh, that 8 pm slot is right when the pop up storms roll through.
