Looking for a new primary care doctor, just moved

Cara Lindqvist @newenglandtransplant · Brier CreekSep 18, 2026, 7:42 AM

Moved down from Massachusetts in the summer and I still don't have a PCP. Hoping for someone who actually listens and doesn't rush you out in six minutes. Brier Creek but I'll drive.

Dr. Dustin Pierson at WakeMed Primary Care in North Raleigh. Took his time, remembered stuff from my last visit. Getting in as a new patient took a few weeks but worth it.

My whole family sees Dr. Patel at Raleigh Family Practice. She's been our doctor for years and is great with kids and adults.

Dr. Leona Miller at Avance Care on Oberlin. Their portal and same day sick visits are really convenient.

Is Pierson taking new patients right now, adjusterandy? Or is there a waitlist?

He was when I called. Ask for the first new patient slot, mine took about three weeks.

Welcome to Raleigh by the way. You'll miss the snow for about a week.
